Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 medium white onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 2 tsp. ground oregano
  • 2 tsp. ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne
  • 2 cans (15 oz. each) Great Northern beans (do not drain)
  • 2 cans (10 oz. each) chicken broth
  • 2 cans (5 oz. each) chicken, drained

Method

  • In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat.
  • Add onion; saute until brown.
  • Add next 7 ingredients; stir until well blended. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
