Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground venison
  • 1/4 lb. mild pork sausage
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 can (6-oz) tomato paste
  • 3 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1/4 c. dry red wine
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crumbled
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 c. chili sauce
  • 2 tsp. butter, melted
  • 1 c. dry bread crumbs
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.
  • Place mixture in well-greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch casserole dish.
  • Bake 1 hour, 15 minutes.
