Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread
  • 2 c. chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1 c. celery
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 2 c. cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. milk

Method

  • Trim crust from bread; reserve crusts.
  • Cut bread diagonally into quarters.
  • Cut crusts into cubes.
  • Combine bread cubes, chicken, celery and cheese.
  • Mix well.
  • Spoon into 11 3/4 x 7 1/2-inch baking dish.
  • Arrange bread quarters over mixture. Combine mayonnaise, eggs and seasonings.
  • Mix well.
  • Add milk. Pour over bread.
  • Cover.
  • Refrigerate overnight.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 30 minutes.
  • Makes 8 servings.
