Ingredients
- 2 c. oatmeal
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 to 2 eggs
- 10 oz. butter/margarine
- strawberry preserves
- chocolate
Method
- Mix eggs and sugar well.
- Add butter and stir well.
- Mix together flour, oatmeal and baking soda.
- Mix all together and divide in 2 (9-inch) cake tins.
- Bake in a preheated 250° oven for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
- Put together with strawberry preserves and let stand for a day or two.
- Melt chocolate and spread on top.
