Ingredients
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 pt. tomato juice
- 1 medium onion
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- dash of hot pepper flakes
- 1/4 basil leaf
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Method
- Mix ground beef with tomato juice; add onion and bay leaf. Bring to boil and cook until tomato juice is cooked off.
- Add balance of ingredients; simmer 1 hour.
- Drain off fat with a spoon.
- Add catsup and water to thin a little.
- May need more chili powder to your taste.
