Ingredients

  • 3 slices bread
  • 1 lb. ground raw turkey
  • 1 medium onion
  • 5 sprigs parsley
  • 1 tsp. dried tarragon
  • 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. dried rosemary
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. oregano

Method

  • Grease shallow baking pan or loaf pan.
  • Directions for Cuisinart:
  • Chop onion and parsley 30 seconds.
  • Add bread, tarragon, chicken broth, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary and egg.
  • Pulse 60 seconds.
  • Add turkey.
  • Pulse gently just to fold in.
  • Mold and shape into a loaf.
  • Put in pan, dot with margarine.
  • Bake in 375° oven for 40 minutes. Pour tomato sauce over meat, add oregano and bake 20 minutes more.
  • Serves 4. Can be done by hand.
  • Break up bread and chop onion first.
