Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 c. lime juice (at room temperature)
- 4 eggs, separated and at room temperature
- 1 graham cracker pie shell
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
Method
- Combine milk and lime juice.
- Add slightly beaten egg yolks. Pour into pie shell and bake 10 minutes.
- Make meringue by beating egg whites and cream of tartar and gradually adding sugar.
- Cover pie with meringue, spreading to edges over crust.
- Bake at 325° until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
