- 4 ripe avocados, peeled and seeded
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 5 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 -2 tablespoon chopped jalapenos with juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 3 cups sour cream
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 8 cups chicken broth, chilled
- salt and pepper
- chopped green onion
Method
- Process the avocados, garlic 4 green onions, cilantro, jalapenos and Tabasco sauce in a blender until smooth.
- Add the sour cream. Process until blended.
- Pour into a large bowl. Stir in the buttermilk and chicken broth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Chill covered, for several hours.
- Ladle into soup bowls. Sprinkle with chopped green onions.
