Ingredients

  • 1 c. young celery, chopped (no leaves)
  • 1 c. sliced beef (fillet)
  • 1 whole red onion, sliced diagonally
  • 1 tsp. ground chili pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. fish sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • dash of m.s.g.

Method

  • Brown half the onion and set aside.
  • Brown the beef to medium rare, without oil.
  • Put the beef in a bowl and add celery, raw onion, lime juice and fish sauce.
  • Add a pinch of m.s.g. to taste. Mix thoroughly.
  • Place on a platter.
  • Sprinkle top with fried onion and ground chili pepper.
  • Serve.
