Ingredients
- 8 chicken wings
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sherry
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tablespoon honey
Method
1. Wash the chicken wings and pat dry with paper towels. Trim any excess fat from the wings and tuck the tips under to form a triangle. Place in a shallow non-metallic dish.
2. Mix together the soy sauce, sherry, ginger, garlic and honey. Pour over the chicken, cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for at least 3 hours. Drain the chicken, reserving the marinade. Lightly brush two sheets of foil with oil. Place 4 wings in a single layer on each piece of foil and wrap completely in a parcel.
3. Cook the parcels on a hot barbecue grill plate or flat plate for 10 minutes. Unwrap, then place the wings directly on a lightly greased grill and cook for 3 minutes, or until brown. Turn them frequently and brush with any remaining marinade.
