Ingredients
- 3 1/2 lb. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- dash of black pepper
- 1 1/2 doz. eggs
- 1/2 c. oil
Method
- Beat eggs well.
- Add
- dry ingredients. Add oil and mix all together until dough
- is smooth.
- Cut into pieces and form into circles
- with
- slits
- horizontal
- on
- sides.
- Drop into boiling water and cook
- until
- light and float to top.
- Remove from water and allow to
- cool.
- Then
- should be hard; if they are soggy, reboil.
- Bake at
- 400°
- on a rack for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
