Ingredients
- 3 cups Barilla PLUS Farfalle pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 large onion, diced
- 3/4 pound lean ground beef
- 1 1-ounce packet reduced sodium taco seasoning
- 1 14.5-ounce can no salt added diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
Method
- 1. Cook pasta in boiling water according to directions on box. Set aside.
- 2. In a large skillet on medium heat, heat olive oil for approximately one minute. Add onion and cook for approximately two minutes.
- 3. Add ground beef to onion. Once beef is browned, add taco seasoning.
- 4. Add diced tomatoes to ground beef, stir and allow to simmer for approximately three minutes.
- 5. Add pasta to ground beef and stir.
- 6. Top with shredded cheese and serve.
