Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 lb. beef boneless round tip or chuck steak
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 c. water
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 large green pepper, sliced
Method
- Mix flour, mustard and salt.
- Sprinkle one side of beef steak with half the mixture.
- Pound in.
- Repeat on other side.
- Cut beef into 6 pieces.
- Heat oil in 10-inch skillet.
- Cook beef over medium heat until brown.
- Add tomatoes and garlic.
- Break up tomatoes.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and cover.
- Simmer until beef is tender (approximately 1 1/4 hours).
