Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 lb. round steak
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 bouillon cubes, dissolved in 2 c. hot water
- 1 c. sour cream
Method
- Saute mushrooms and onions in 2 tablespoons butter; remove from pan. Trim fat and bone from steak. Cut into strips.
- Melt additional butter (2 tablespoons) in pan. Toss strips of meat in flour. Brown meat in butter. Add salt and bouillon cubes. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until meat is tender, about 1 1/4 hours. Add mushrooms, onions and sour cream. Heat and serve over noodles or rice. Serves 6.
