Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 12 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 12 cup lemon juice
  • 14 cup catsup
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bell pepper, cut in strips
  • 1 (14 ounce) can chunk pineapple, drained
  • 12 freezer meatballs, thawed

Method

  • In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except bell pepper, pineapple, and meatballs; mix well.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens.
  • Reduce heat.
  • Add pepper, pineapple and meatballs; simmer uncovered 10 minutes or until heated through.
  • Serve over rice or with toothpicks.
