Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 12 cup brown sugar, packed
- 12 cup lemon juice
- 14 cup catsup
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 bell pepper, cut in strips
- 1 (14 ounce) can chunk pineapple, drained
- 12 freezer meatballs, thawed
Method
- In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except bell pepper, pineapple, and meatballs; mix well.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens.
- Reduce heat.
- Add pepper, pineapple and meatballs; simmer uncovered 10 minutes or until heated through.
- Serve over rice or with toothpicks.
