Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 medium bell pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white vinegar

Method

  • Chop cabbage, bell pepper and onion and mix together.
  • Then in separate pan, mix sugar, vinegar, celery seed, salt and turmeric and bring to a boil.
  • Let boil for 2 minutes, then pour over cabbage, bell pepper and onion mixture.
  • Mix good.
  • Let stand overnight in refrigerator before serving.
  • Will keep in refrigerator for two weeks.
