Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. unsifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt (only if seeds are not salted)
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 c. sunflower seeds
Method
- Blend first 3 ingredients well and add egg and vanilla.
- Then add flour, salt, soda and oats.
- When mixed well, add seeds, folding in carefully.
- Chill a bit, then drop onto cookie sheet. Gently flatten out a bit with fingertips.
- Bake at 350° for about ten minutes or until light brown.
- Makes about 6 dozen.
