Ingredients
- 6 medium green peppers
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. chopped onion (optional)
- 3/4 c. tomato sauce
- 3 c. (heaping) cooked rice
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 c. American or Velveeta cheese
- salt
Method
- Cut off tops of peppers; remove seeds and membrane.
- Wash and lightly salt inside of peppers.
- While cooking rice, brown hamburger and onion in a large skillet.
- Season with salt and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add cooked rice, tomato sauce and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
- Stuff peppers full and top with rest of the tomato sauce.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until peppers are very tender.
