Ingredients
- 1 lb. dry cod (bacala)
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 1 c. stewed tomatoes
- 3 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
Method
- Soak cod in cold water for 6 to 8 hours.
- Drain.
- Bring cod to boil; drain and taste.
- If too salty, soak in cold water.
- Taste at 15 minute intervals until excess salt is removed.
- Drain and set aside.
