- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach or 2 cans spinach
- 2 Tbsp. onion
- 4 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. spinach juice
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 16 oz. jalapeno cheese, cut in pieces
- buttered bread crumbs
Method
- Cook spinach according to directions.
- Drain and reserve juice. Saute onion in butter until tender.
- Add flour; stir until blended and smooth.
- Slowly add juice and milk, stirring constantly.
- Cook until smooth and thick.
- Add pepper, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce and cheese.
- Stir until cheese melts.
