Ingredients
- 1 egg white, beaten slightly
- 3 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Method
- In small bowl, beat together egg white and water.
- Stir in pecans, stirring until all surfaces are moistened.
- Mix together sugar and remaining ingredients, sprinkle over pecans and mix well to coat all sides.
- Spread on lightly greased or foil-lined cookie sheet and bake in preheated oven at 300° for 30 minutes.
- Stir about halfway through baking time to assure crispness and even drying.
