Ingredients

  • 6 oz. spaghetti
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up (undrained)
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. dried crushed oregano
  • 1/2 Tbsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Cook spaghetti.
  • Drain.
  • Stir in butter until melted.
  • Add Parmesan cheese and egg.
  • Mix well.
  • Form mixture into crust in a greased pie pan or small cake pan.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion and green pepper until vegetables are tender.
  • Drain off any grease.
  • Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, oregano and garlic salt.
  • Heat through.
  • Spread tomato mixture over spaghetti crust.
  • Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes.
