Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 6 large eggs
- 1 Tbsp. lemon extract
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Method
- Cream
- butter
- and
- shortening well.
- Add sugar slowly, then add sour
- cream.
- Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Beat in eggs and flavorings.
- Mix
- flour,
- soda
- and
- salt; add to batter. Beat for
- minutes.
- Grease and lightly flour a 10-inch tube pan. Pour in

- bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 325° or until cake tests done.
