Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla
- 3 qts. popped corn
Method
- Put sugar, syrup, butter, water and salt into saucepan and cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Continue cooking, without stirring, until syrup forms a butter ball when dropped in cold water (245 degrees on candy thermometer). Add vanilla and stir only enough to mix (you may also add food coloring). Pour over popcorn.
- Wet hands and form into balls.
