- 3/4 cup turnip diced
- 3/4 cup carrots diced
- 3/4 cup celery diced
- 3/4 cup onions diced
- 1 clove garlic chopped
- 1/2 cup pearl barley
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 cups ham cubed, cooked
- 2 whole bay leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme dried
- 8 cups beef stock low-sodium
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
Method
- Combine all the ingredients, in your slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours, taste the soup and add more salt and pepper if needed.
