- 2 pkg. ladyfingers
- 1 pkg. plain gelatin
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 c. sugar plus 1/2 c. sugar (each 1/2 used at a different time)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sherry
- 4 eggs whites
- 1/2 pt. whipped cream
- shavings of chocolate
Method
- Line two pie pans with ladyfingers.
- Dissolve gelatin in cold water.
- Beat egg yolks, sugar, salt and sherry.
- Put in double boiler and cook until thick.
- Add to gelatin.
- Beat egg whites and the other 1/2 cup sugar until glossy.
- Fold into mixture.
- Pour into pie pans.
- Let cool.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Sprinkle chocolate shavings on top!
