Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. sesame seed
  • 2 large onions, sliced thin
  • 1/2 c. ginger flavored soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. red wine vinegar
  • 3 lb. cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp. Oriental bean sauce
  • 1/2 lb. snow pea pods, trimmed
  • 1/2 lb. bean sprouts
  • 1 Tbsp. slivered ginger root
  • 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) boneless top round steak (1 1/2-inches thick)
  • 1 1/4 c. beef broth
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms
  • 1 (15 oz.) can baby corn ears, drained
  • 1 large red pepper, seeded and sliced thin

Method

  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons salad oil.
  • Saute sesame seed for 3 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Place in shallow, glass baking dish.
  • Add onions, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bean sauce and ginger.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Marinate steak in mixture, covered and turning occasionally, in refrigerator 4 hours or overnight.
  • Drain steak, reserving marinade.
