Ingredients

  • 2 (14 1/4 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. dried crushed oregano
  • 1 tsp. dried crushed basil
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 lb. peeled shrimp
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper

Method

  • Combine undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, oregano, basil, red pepper, garlic powder and thyme.
  • Bring to boiling. Reduce heat.
  • Cook, uncovered, over medium-low heat, 10 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.
  • Add shrimp and green pepper.
  • Cook, uncovered, 10 minutes or until shrimp are no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve over spaghetti.
  • Makes 6 servings.
