Ingredients
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
- 1 (8 oz.) can whole water chestnuts
- 3 Tbsp. chopped crystallized ginger
- dash of hot sauce
- 1/4 c. grated onion
- 1/4 c. fresh parsley
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
Method
- Drain and chop chestnuts.
- Finely chop parsley and chop crystallized ginger.
- Combine all ingredients; cover and chill for at least 8 hours.
- To reduce fat and cholesterol, fat-free mayonnaise and nonfat sour cream alternatives may be substituted. Serve as a dip with fresh vegetables.
- Yields 3 cups.
