Ingredients
- 1 lb. Italian sausage, cut into 1-inch slices
- 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 lb. onions, boiled, drained and halved
- 2 1/2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- 8 oz. zita, cooked and drained
- 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In large saucepan, thoroughly brown sausage; drain fat.
- Add next 3 ingredients; simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
- Pour mixture over zita which has been placed in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Bake covered for 25 minutes. Uncover and top with cheese.
- Bake 10 minutes or until bubbly.
