Ingredients
- 1 c. sauerkraut (from pkg.)
- 1 c. bean sprouts
- 2 c. chopped celery
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 small can water chestnuts
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. cider vinegar
Method
- Wash sauerkraut.
- Mix sugar and vinegar; heat until sugar melts.
- Pour sugar and vinegar mixture over all mixed ingredients. Refrigerate overnight.
- This salad keeps well for 1 to 2 weeks. (Packed sauerkraut can be found in the meat counter.)
