Ingredients
- 6 lb. boneless fish
- 2 lb. bacon
- 1 lb. onion, chopped
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 4 full cans water
- 1/2 large bottle ketchup
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Fry bacon; take bacon up and fry chopped onions until tender. Drain almost all fat off and put tomato soup, water and ketchup in with onions.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Return bacon to sauce and let simmer for at least one hour.
- About 45 minutes before ready to eat, add serving size pieces of fish.
- Do not stir, but poke occasionally.
- Serve on hot rice.
- Best cooked in a black iron pot.
