Ingredients

  • 6 lb. boneless fish
  • 2 lb. bacon
  • 1 lb. onion, chopped
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 4 full cans water
  • 1/2 large bottle ketchup
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Fry bacon; take bacon up and fry chopped onions until tender. Drain almost all fat off and put tomato soup, water and ketchup in with onions.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Return bacon to sauce and let simmer for at least one hour.
  • About 45 minutes before ready to eat, add serving size pieces of fish.
  • Do not stir, but poke occasionally.
  • Serve on hot rice.
  • Best cooked in a black iron pot.
