Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter flavor Crisco
  • 1 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • sugar (for rolling)
  • 72 to 90 milk chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Method

  • Combine Crisco, peanut butter, brown sugar and 1 cup sugar in large bowl.
  • Beat at medium speed until well blended.
  • Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla.
  • Combine flour, soda and salt.
  • Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended.
  • Dough will be stiff.
  • Form dough into 1-inch balls.
  • Roll in sugar and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8 minutes.
  • Take out and press milk chocolate kiss in center of each cookie. Return to oven and bake 3 more minutes.
  • Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.
  • Then remove to cooling racks.
