Ingredients
- 1 c. butter flavor Crisco
- 1 c. creamy peanut butter
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 1/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- sugar (for rolling)
- 72 to 90 milk chocolate kisses, unwrapped
Method
- Combine Crisco, peanut butter, brown sugar and 1 cup sugar in large bowl.
- Beat at medium speed until well blended.
- Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla.
- Combine flour, soda and salt.
- Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended.
- Dough will be stiff.
- Form dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll in sugar and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 minutes.
- Take out and press milk chocolate kiss in center of each cookie. Return to oven and bake 3 more minutes.
- Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.
- Then remove to cooling racks.
