Ingredients
- 1 c. unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/3 c. granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. water
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans
- 1/4 c. confectioners sugar
Method
- Preheat oven to 325°.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
- Beat until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the water and the vanilla.
- Blend in the flour 1/2 cup at a time. Add the pecans and mix well.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Place them about 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 20 minutes.
- Transfer to wire racks to cool.
- When cookies are cool, roll in confectioners sugar.
