Ingredients
- 3 lb. hot or sweet Italian sausage
- 2 c. Burgundy wine
Method
- Cut sausage in 4-inch long pieces.
- Place in pan and cover with water.
- Cover with lid and boil for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Prick sausage with fork to allow fat to escape. Cook with lid off for 15 to 20 minutes, until all water has evaporated and sausage is brown.
- Gradually add Burgundy, cover and simmer 5 minutes. Serves 5 to 7.
