Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 Serrano or jalapeno chiles, seeded and chopped
  • 1 c. chopped red onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 to 3 chopped garlic cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped
  • 1 medium avocado, chopped

Method

  • Except for avocado, mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Let it stand at room temperature for about an hour.
  • Stir several times, then add avocado right before serving with tortilla chips.
