Ingredients
- 2 c. canned applesauce
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. rum or 1 tsp. rum extract
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
- 2 c. broken gingersnaps
- 1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped
Method
- Combine applesauce, sugar, rum, grated orange rind and gingersnaps.
- Stir until well mixed.
- Chill.
- Just before serving, fold in whipped cream and pile into sherbet dishes.
- If desired, top with additional cream and nuts.
