Ingredients
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 eggs
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 6 c. plain flour
Method
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, salt and shortening.
- Add boiling water and stir until shortening melts.
- Add beaten eggs. Stir.
- Add 3 cups of flour and mix well.
- In 1 cup of warm water, dissolve the yeast.
- Add to first mixture, then add 3 more cups of flour.
- Mix well and refrigerate overnight.
- Place rolls in greased pan and let rise 2 to 3 hours.
