Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 c. bread flour

Method

  • Combine sugar, margarine, salt and hot water to melt margarine.
  • Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
  • Combine mixtures. Beat eggs and add.
  • Stir in flour.
  • Cover and refrigerate.
  • Will keep for several days.
  • When you want rolls, pinch off walnut-sized portions of dough, working into a ball with floured hands.
  • Place about an inch apart on greased pans.
  • Let rise in a warm, draft-free place, covered with a lightweight dish towel for a couple of hours.
  • Bake at 375° until golden (about 15 to 20 minutes).
  • Makes 3 dozen.
