Ingredients
- 1/4 lb. margarine
- 2 handfuls vermicelli, broken into small pieces
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1 small box Uncle Ben's long grain rice
- 2 cans clear chicken broth
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes, dissolved in 1 c. hot water
Method
- Melt margarine in medium/large saucepan.
- Brown vermicelli in margarine. Add allspice, rice, chicken broth and bouillon. Cover tightly and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until all of the broth is absorbed and rice is tender (about 25 to 30 minutes).
