Ingredients
- 1 lb. pork sausage, crumbled, cooked and drained
- 6 slices bread, cubed and dried
- 1/2 to 1 stick butter
- 1 c. sharp grated Cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
Method
- Put sausage in bottom of 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Toss bread in melted butter and layer over sausage.
- Add cheese.
- Beat eggs, milk and seasoning.
- Pour over layered mixture.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
- Best if let stand in refrigerator overnight before baking.
