Ingredients

  • 1 qt. sauerkraut, squeezed dry
  • 2 cups KRAFT Thousand Island Dressing, divided
  • 1-1/3 Tbsp. caraway seed, toasted, ground
  • 32 slices dark rye bread
  • 48 slices corned beef brisket, sliced
  • 32 slices Swiss cheese slices, thinly sliced

Method

  • Combine sauerkraut, 1 cup dressing (or 1 Tbsp.
  • dressing for trial recipe) and caraway seed.
  • For each serving: Spread 1 Tbsp.
  • of the remaining dressing onto 1 bread slice.
  • Top 1 bread slice with 3 oz.
  • corned beef, 1/4 cup sauerkraut mixture and 2 cheese slices.
  • Broil until cheese begins to melt.
  • Cover with second bread slice.
  • Broil until sandwich is toasted on both sides, turning once.
