Ingredients

  • 12 medium onions
  • 1 (5 lb.) cabbage
  • 10 green tomatoes
  • 12 green peppers
  • 6 sweet red peppers
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • 4 c. vinegar
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 hard-cooked eggs
  • 2 c. canned kidney beans, drained
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 heaping Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp. mustard relish or capers
  • 1 tsp. curry powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Chop onion, celery and eggs together.
  • Add rest of ingredients.
  • Refrigerate 1/2 hour.
  • Can be made ahead.
  • Can not be frozen.
