Ingredients
- 2 c. all bran
- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. butter (shortening)
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- pinch of salt
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. chopped dates or raisins
Method
- Soak all bran in milk. Cream butter, brown sugar, eggs and salt.
- Add flour, molasses and baking soda in hot water. Add all bran
- mixture and dates or raisins.
- Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Makes
- about 40 medium muffins.
- Dough can be put in icebox a few days
- to
- bake
- later.
