Ingredients
- 1 pt. tomatoes
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 4 oz. or 1 c. uncooked macaroni
- dash of pepper
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
Method
- Brown beef and onion in shortening in an electric skillet. Drain off excess grease.
- Stir in hot water, tomatoes, catsup, salt, sugar and pepper.
- Add macaroni.
- Mix well.
- Bring mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Simmer, uncovered, 15 or 20 minutes. Stir occasionally or until macaroni is tender.
