Ingredients

  • 1 (18 oz.) pkg. butter-pecan cake mix
  • 1 (3 3/4 oz.) pkg. French vanilla instant pudding and pie filling
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 Tbsp. poppy seed

Method

  • Combine first
  • five ingredients in a large mixing bowl, beat well.
  • Stir in pecans and poppy seed.
  • Pour batter into a greased 9 x 5
  • x 3-inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 5 minutes or
  • until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool in
  • pan 10 minutes, remove from pan and cool on a wire rack. Yields 1 loaf.
