Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 2 c. cream-style cottage cheese
  • 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 enveloped spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Brown meat in heavy skillet; pour off fat.
  • Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic and spaghetti sauce mix.
  • Simmer 30 minutes. Cook lasagna noodles in salted water.
  • Drain carefully.
  • Grease long rectangular baking dish.
  • Layer noodles, sauce, cottage cheese and Mozzarella cheese.
  • Continue layers and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Serves 8.
