Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 6 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 c. unsifted self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Method

  • Melt butter or margarine in saucepan over low heat.
  • Stir in cocoa and sugar.
  • Turn off heat and add eggs (one at a time), beating well with wire whisk after each addition.
  • Blend in vanilla.
  • Add flour, stirring until blended.
  • Turn into greased 9-inch square baking pan.
  • Top with pecans.
  • Heat oven to 350°. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
