Ingredients
- 1 pie crust (do not bake ahead)
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 small chopped onion
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese or mix of Swiss and American
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- garlic to taste
Method
- Cook bacon; drain and chop up.
- Saute onion in bacon fat; drain.
- Combine eggs, milk, cream cheese, bacon and seasonings. Pour into pie crust.
- Bake at 375° for 25 to 35 minutes.
- If you like, add more cheese, mushrooms, crab meat or vegetables.
- Makes 1 pie.
- Serves 8.
