Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (do not bake ahead)
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese or mix of Swiss and American
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • garlic to taste

Method

  • Cook bacon; drain and chop up.
  • Saute onion in bacon fat; drain.
  • Combine eggs, milk, cream cheese, bacon and seasonings. Pour into pie crust.
  • Bake at 375° for 25 to 35 minutes.
  • If you like, add more cheese, mushrooms, crab meat or vegetables.
  • Makes 1 pie.
  • Serves 8.
