Ingredients

  • 3 c. diced potatoes
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. instant chicken bouillon
  • 2 c. milk, divided
  • 3 Tbsp. flour

Method

  • Combine potatoes, celery, onion, water, seasonings and bouillon in a 2-quart saucepan.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Cover and cook on medium for 15 minutes.
  • Combine 1/4 cup milk with flour until smooth.
  • Add flour mixture, remaining milk and butter to potato mixture.
  • Cook over medium heat until boiling, stirring constantly.
